Zebra, directed by Eashvar Karthic, is a financial crime thriller that offers an engaging mix of drama, suspense, and tension. The film stars Satyadev as Surya, a bank employee who finds himself caught in a web of financial chaos after an accidental ₹5 crore transfer. With just four days to fix the mistake, Surya’s journey is filled with thrilling moments, unexpected turns, and high stakes. The core premise is intriguing, and the unfolding drama keeps the audience hooked for the most part.

Satyadev’s performance is undoubtedly the film’s highlight. He brings a unique blend of seriousness and comic timing to his character, making Surya both relatable and entertaining. Daali Dhananjaya, who plays the antagonist Aadi, adds significant weight to the film with his strong screen presence, creating an engaging dynamic between the two leads. Priya Bhavani Shankar, although not as prominent in the film, delivers a decent performance as Surya’s love interest. Sathyaraj, in his supporting role, delivers a solid performance as Baba, bringing his trademark gravitas to the film.

The narrative has its strengths, particularly in the buildup of tension as Surya scrambles to resolve the financial mess. The chemistry between Satyadev and Daali Dhananjaya adds a layer of intrigue that enhances the film’s dramatic impact. The performances from the supporting cast, including the comic relief provided by Satya, also contribute to the film’s overall entertainment value.

However, while the film succeeds in building suspense and offering compelling character arcs, there are moments when the pacing slows down, and the plot feels a bit repetitive. Some scenes, particularly those involving secondary characters, could have been trimmed to maintain a tighter focus on the central storyline. The background score by Ravi Basrur adds to the mood but doesn’t always stand out as much as it could have. Additionally, some viewers might feel that certain plot points, like the way the ₹5 crore issue is handled, could have been explored in more depth to increase the stakes.

Overall, Zebra is a solid crime thriller with strong performances and an engaging premise. While it may not be flawless in execution, it offers enough intrigue and drama to keep viewers entertained. The film is an enjoyable ride for those who appreciate financial thrillers with character-driven stories. A decent watch with impressive performances, though the pacing could have been sharper.
